Are you ready to take the first step to becoming you again?
HOW I WORK
At the core of my approach to therapy is the belief that when we embrace uncertainty and focus more on awareness and understanding, we unlock the power to change our lives.
I know that everyone is capable of healing from past traumas, finding a way to live peacefully with mental illnesses, and overcoming avoidance and our harmful ways of coping with pain. On our darkest days, we sometimes lose our ability to connect with hope. I support my clients by holding hope for you during the darkest, hardest days until you are able to reconnect to it yourself.
AUTHENTIC.
THERAPY WITH ME IS:
I believe that my clients and I are partners on this road to recovery and healing. I don’t make promises I can’t keep, I meet you where you are at, and I bring my whole self into our therapeutic relationship. In our work together, I am a genuine, authentic, real human being.
INTENTIONAL.
When I say something, I mean it. I believe that one of the best things we can learn from therapy is how to be more intentional, effective, and engaged in your own life. From the way I structure sessions, to the words I say, and the topics we discuss, I aim to practice what I preach.
DIRECT.
Both brutal honesty and sugarcoating the truth can be harmful to the growth process. I believe in pairing directness with kindness when it comes to engaging with areas of improvement. Feedback is helpful, and I don’t think it needs to hurt to be helpful.
MY SPECIALTIES:
WHAT I CAN HELP WITH
-
Food isn’t meant to feel like an enemy. Our body isn’t meant to be something we hate. But sometimes we focus on food and our bodies in an effort to feel more in control of other areas in our lives.
When disordered eating behaviors feel like they are taking over your mind or your life, it’s time to try something different.
